Join us in an action-oriented convening to develop workforce solutions for Orleans and Jefferson parishes.

The discussion and planning will be informed by the voices of local workforce talent in the recently conducted study,Where Are The Workers-Greater New Orleans?”, a collaborative effort of several local workforce development organizations. Keynote speaker, Bishara Addison, is Director of Workforce Innovation for The Fund for Our Economic Future. She served in a leading capacity on a similar analysis of Northeast Ohio’s talent landscape and is intricately involved in the progress made in that area using their research outcomes. In her current role, Bishara leads talent development initiatives in support of the Fund’s agenda to achieve equitable economic growth. Her work focuses on convening and aligning regional and national partners to support innovative solutions related to labor market participation and job quality.

Guest speaker, Dr. Stephanie Hoopes, National Director of United for ALICE, developed the ALICE (Asset, Limited, Income, Constrained, Employed) measures for a pilot study of the low-income community in Morris County while at Rutgers University-Newark, and has since overseen the expansion to a national effort with ALICE data for all 3,000 U.S. counties. Her research has garnered the attention of local, state, and national media. Dr. Hoopes has a doctorate degree from the London School of Economics.
