Shavonne Hampton, Director of Early Learning Service

Shavonne oversees day-to-day operations for Early Head Start and Head Start programs on the Historic and Patrick F. Taylor campuses. She has held several positions over 10 years; including a direct classroom Teacher and Director of Community Based Services. Shavonne believes that early education has a vital role in a child’s future outcome.

Her career spans over 15 years in Education. Shavonne has a Master of Art in Educational Leadership, Bachelors of Arts in Child Development Family studies, and Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Shavonne enjoys traveling and gathering with loved ones.

Certifications Include: Louisiana Pathways Trainer II, Certified CLASS Reliable Trainer (Infant, Toddler, and Preschool)

Kiandre Nichols, Head Start Education Supervisor

Kiandre has a strong desire to maximize her impact on students and the community. She loves being in service of the students, families, teachers and staff and is dedicated to utilizing her leadership skills to continue the school’s record of excellence.

Kiandre is in her 8th year in the early childhood education field. She holds a Bachelor of Art in Child Development and Family Studies, and an Associate Degree in Care and Development of Young Children. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans. Her mission is to provide an excellent education for every student, regardless of socioeconomic status or background.

Kiandre also utilizes her leadership skills outside of the school day as she operates a nonprofit organization to expand members’ knowledge and love of dance, while increasing their self-esteem and service in the community.

Sharlene Adams, Early Head Start Education Supervisor

Michelle Woods, Early Head Start Education Supervisor

Michelle is both passionate and committed to Early Childhood Education. Michelle joined the education team as an intern in 2014. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Southern University at New Orleans in Child Development and Family Studies and a Master of Science from Walden University in Human and Social Services, with a specialization in Family Studies and Intervention.

She has held many positions at Kingsley House including Early Head Start Caregiver, Head Start Lead Teacher, and Supervisor in Training. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Tau Upsilon Alpha Human Services Honors Society, and Louisiana Head Start Association. Michelle and her son reside in Gretna.

Christina Eden, Manager of Training and Technical Assistance

Christina utilizes developmental assessment data to create professional development trainings that supports our teachers’ implementation of best practices. With over 20 years of early childcare experience, she has developed a wealth of knowledge and implemented it within her many roles with the organization. Christina has a Bachelor of Art in Child Development and Family Studies and an Associate Degree in Care and Development of Young Children.

Certifications Include: Certified CLASS Reliable (Infant, Toddler, and Preschool)

Chantè Jones, RN, BSN, MHA, Director of Health Services

Chantè leads the health services team for both Early Learning Services and Adult Day Care. Her healthcare experience spans from clinical nursing to healthcare administration. She specialized in the areas of cardiology and emergency medicine. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southeastern Louisiana and a Master of Health Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport. She is responsible for implementing and monitoring health programming for our Early Learning Services division. Chantè is eager to merge her passion for health with her love for community to enrich the lives of the participants in our programs.

Certifications Include: Louisiana Childcare Healthcare Consultant, Certified Lactation Counselor, Certified First Aid and CPR Instructor

Kesha Jones, Lead Advocate

Kesha is a New Orleans native and former Kingsley House Head Start participant. She is a registered social worker and an alum of Southern University at New Orleans. With over 14 years of social service experience in a variety of settings working with diverse clients, Kesha joined Kingsley House in 2015 with a strong passion to serve children and families. Kesha now leads a team of family advocates with a determination to empower, advocate and transform lives of the whole family.
